At Stello Church, the fulfillment of the vision is to love God, embrace truth, and become change. The word Stello comes from the Greek meaning to be sent with purpose — the root of apostello, the same word Jesus used when sending His followers into the world. We know the church is still alive. We believe God is still doing miracles, still changing lives. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
LOVE GOD
We were created for relationship. Loving God means walking with Him daily and worshiping Him together in our weekly services. It’s about knowing Him personally and letting His presence shape our lives.
EMBRACE TRUTH
God’s Word is our foundation, and His Spirit leads us into all truth — and truth sets us free. As we embrace truth, we find freedom through Spirit-filled community.
BECOME CHANGE
Jesus didn’t call us to be the difference; becoming change means carrying His light into every corner of our world until others see Jesus through us.
Our vision is to embrace the difference of God’s Word to be the difference in our world — we have a purpose and a reason for living.
I. The Bible
We believe the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God, given to humanity as the ultimate authority in all matters of faith and practice. It is the final revelation of God’s truth, perfectly trustworthy, and fully sufficient for salvation and godly living. Scripture reveals God’s nature, humanity’s purpose, and the path to eternal life.
II. God
We believe in one eternal God who is Spirit — the Creator of all things and the sustainer of life. This one God has revealed Himself fully in the person of Jesus Christ. Jesus is God manifested in the flesh, both fully divine and fully human. In Him, the invisible God is made known, and through Him, we see the heart and nature of the one true God revealed to humanity.
III. Sin, Salvation, and The Gospel
We believe that all humanity has sinned and stands in need of salvation, which comes only by the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ. The gospel is the good news that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose again to give us new life.
We express our faith in the gospel through obedience to it. This includes repentance from sin (death to sin) and water baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (burial). The Holy Spirit (resurrection) is God’s promised gift to those who believe, His own presence dwelling within us. The Spirit empowers and transforms believers, uniting them with the body of Christ through the New Birth and enabling them to walk in newness of life.
IV. The Church
We believe the Church is the body of Christ on earth, composed of all believers who have been born again by the Spirit. The Church exists to glorify God, proclaim the gospel, make disciples, and minister to the needs of the world through love and service. It is called to live in holiness, unity, and mission, reflecting the character of Christ.
V. Christian Living
We believe that every believer is called to live a Christlike life that begins with inward transformation and naturally flows outward into everyday choices and actions. This includes turning from sin, loving others, and walking in obedience to God’s Word. By His grace, believers are empowered to live in victory and to grow continually in faith, character, and spiritual maturity.
VI. The Second Coming
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ for His Church, known as the Rapture, followed by His visible return to reign upon the earth. The righteous will inherit eternal life in the presence of God, while the unrepentant will face eternal separation. This blessed hope motivates believers to live in readiness and faithful service.
VII. Final Authority
We believe that all doctrine, practice, and belief must be rooted in and measured by the Holy Scriptures. The Word of God is the final authority for faith and conduct, and its truth transcends culture, tradition, and human opinion.
1. Spirit Led
We follow the leading of the Holy Spirit in everything we do. We believe God still speaks, still moves, and still works miracles today. His presence guides our worship, our mission, and our everyday lives.
2. Bible-Teaching
We build our lives and our church on the authority of God’s Word. Scripture is our foundation for truth, freedom, and transformation. We preach it, teach it, and live it.
3. Others-Focused
Church is not about preference but purpose. We exist to reach people — to serve our community, love our neighbors, and help others encounter Jesus through compassion and action.
4. Community
We were never meant to do life alone. We value authentic relationships that go beyond Sunday — where people belong, grow, and find freedom through real connection and accountability.
5. Growth
We pursue growth — spiritually, personally, and numerically. God calls His Church to multiply and expand. As we grow deeper in faith, we believe He will grow our influence and impact in the world.
